Splish, Splash, Our Bath Needs Cash!
At Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, the sensory bath has always been a cherished source of comfort and joy for the children. Sadly, our current bath has been condemned, and we can no longer provide the essential baths or showers, relying on bed baths instead. We have the rubber duckies and the fluffy towels, but now we need the bath!
For many children, especially those with only wet rooms at home, Zoe’s Place is the only place they can enjoy a proper bath. Beth, our Head of Care, explains: “The sensory bath is a wonderful experience for our children. The jacuzzi feature and warm water help them relax, especially those with high muscle tone. The warm water allows for a greater range of movement and makes passive limb stretches more effective, alleviating pain.”
Theo’s mum adds: “The sensory bath at Zoe’s Place brings Theo immense joy and essential sensory stimulation. It’s a special experience that she can’t get from a basic bath at home, and it also eases my physical strain.”
The cost of the new bath is £15,000. This bath will be more energy efficient, requiring less water and featuring a separate tank for shower water, making it more versatile than the previous one.
Every donation towards this bath will not only provide the children with comfort and relaxation but also significantly improve their quality of life. For children with life-limiting conditions, every special moment counts, and your generosity can help us make a splash!
So if you want to be part of our bathtime journey, please donate today and make a big difference to little lives!
