Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice has a dedicated senior management team and finance team and each hospice has its own clinical and fundraising team to ensure the babies and infants are expertly cared for and funds are raised in order to keep our hospices running and thriving.

Play Specialist – Middlesbrough hospice
Main duties of the job
(Apply here or via the button below)Ensure that all children receive the appropriate play and stimulation related to their emotional / developmental needs. Organise and facilitate said play. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive play programmes, to include preparation for invasive and non-invasive procedures, procedural support and therapeutic play, as part of the overall care of the child, receiving day care and respite care. To create individual developmental and play assessments for each and every child, adjusting when the child’s needs have changed. To ensure that all children receive appropriate therapeutic and goal orientated play and stimulation related to their emotional/ developmental needs and to achieve developmental goals. To provide psycho-social, emotional and physical care and support to children and families. Through the provision of play provide support for the families and siblings that are under stress and in crisis, demonstrating a commitment to family centred care. To educate child in medical condition if appropriate. To arrange trips and activities for children in line with Zoe’s Place outings policy. To promote an awareness of the emotional needs of children and the importance of play within a care team.
