Music has always been a powerful tool for expression.
Music therapy is very beneficial for babies and infants with complex medical conditions, giving them the opportunity to engage their senses, practice cognitive motor skills, and encourages them to play music and have fun!
Music can touch our emotions deeply and allows for a freedom of communication with no words. Using music in an interactive way has positive effects on brain development. For a small baby who is often overwhelmed with external stimuli, music can help the brain organize at staying calm.

Music therapy sessions at Zoe’s Place enable positive creative opportunities for the children and babies to interact and engage within a safe, supportive and stimulating environment. Sessions are catered to specifically meet the needs of each child and we utilise a range of percussion instruments, voice, string instruments, improvised playing and precomposed song. Music therapy offers a space in which children can communicate and express themselves uniquely and effectively. Wellbeing and enjoyment lie at the heart of every session and play is incorporated to aid learning and development. Music therapy enables us to celebrate all achievements whilst promoting quality of life, compassion and a sense of togetherness.
