It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Founder, Professor J.J. Scarisbrick. Jack passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren, bringing comfort to his family in his final moments.

More than thirty years ago, Jack’s extraordinary vision led to the founding of the first Baby Hospice in the U.K, providing essential care and support to families whose infants faced life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. His compassion and determination transformed countless lives, ensuring that every child could enjoy life to the fullest, regardless of its length, and that their families received the support they needed.

Jack’s unwavering belief in the dignity and joy of every child inspired the creation of Zoe’s Place Baby Hospices, touching the hearts of so many families. Although his passing brings deep sorrow, we choose to remember and celebrate his remarkable achievements and the enduring impact of his work.

At Zoe’s Place, we are committed to upholding Jack’s legacy, continuing his mission to provide compassionate care for children and support for their families in the years ahead.
