As Director of Care, Michelle leads on patient safety and the clinical governance agenda. This means she has responsibility of monitoring the care across all three hospices (working in partnership with the Head of Care).

“I am a registered nurse with 40 years’ experience, mostly within Children and family services. I began my career working within neonatal intensive care, then as a practicing midwife and health visitor for many years.

I was Head of Care for a further 18 months prior to taking up post as the Director of Care.  I feel privileged to have such a valuable role and I enjoy working with the clinical teams to ensure we deliver high quality care and continuously strive for improvements.”
