The ‘Walk for Kate’ is back, and we would love you to get involved…

Join the Walk for Kate and Support Zoe’s Place on Saturday 22nd March!
In its 7th incredible year, the Walk for Kate is back, and we couldn’t be more excited to see Ged and his amazing supporters lace up their walking shoes for another inspirational event. Over the years, Ged’s dedication to fundraising for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice has been nothing short of extraordinary. Last year’s Walk for Kate in March saw over 70 supporters join Ged, raising a grand total of £27,230.
After the devastating news that Zoe’s Place, Liverpool, was due to close in October, Ged decided he had to do something to help and organised a walk from the Liverpool Water Front to Zoe’s Place in West Derby! The walk, which was attended by, 100s of supporters, Zoe’s Place families and also Liverpool Legend John Barnes, it managed to raise over £22,000 (thanks to match funding). This means that Ged has now raised over £100,000 for Zoe’s Place, Liverpool.

Ged’s fundraising journey began seven years ago, inspired by the memory of his beloved daughter, Kate, on the 20th anniversary of her passing. And so, Kate’s Coastal Walk was born.
Since then, the walk has grown year after year, with over 100 participants at its peak. Despite challenges like the cancellation of the 2020 walk due to the pandemic, Ged’s determination never wavered. That year, he still managed to raise nearly £7,000!
The Route
This year’s marathon walk will once again take participants on a scenic journey along the Liverpool waterfront.
