Volunteer Driver Required
Published date: 22 January 2020
Can you help our hospice by volunteering your time?
We require assistance in the pick-up and drop-off of our collection tins across Merseyside. All candidates must be 25 years and over, hold a clean driving license for at least 1 year as you will be using the Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice pool car.
You must have excellent communication skills, be friendly and approachable - as you will be meeting with a variety of supporters, many of whom are long-standing.
During your time on the road, we may also ask you to drop promotional flyers asking businesses, restaurants and shops to host our collection tins, whilst raising awareness of the hospice across the region.
How the role benefits you:
Development of your core soft skills especially communication. You will build upon your interpersonal skills and development of negotiation, sales and persuasion skills.
All candidates will require a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check – due to the nature of working with vulnerable members of the public and the nature of the Hospice itself.
If you are interested in this position, please contact our Community Fundraiser Tessa McGrath via email or call 0151 228 0353.
