Switch on, Tune in!
Published date: 22 December 2016
We are thrilled to be part of Radio Plus Coventry's Charity Advent Calendar Campaign. Featuring a local charity each day of advent Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice was lucky enough to be chosen for TODAY! Thursday 22nd December 2016.
We invite you to tune into the station at 101.5FM and listen to our message, however if you are unable to tune in today we have a transcript of our Appeal Message below. I hope you will take five minutes to read or listen to the message and reflect just how far we have progressed over the last few years, the difference we have made and continue to make to our community.
Imagine how you would feel if you were told your child had a serious illness for which there was no cure. Imagine your distress when no-one can tell you how long your child may live and that they will need constant care 24 hours a day.
Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice provides FREE palliative and respite care to infants from birth to five years old. Most importantly we provide a lifeline to families, who, without this support can fall apart under the pressure.
Thanks to your valued support over the last five years we have progressed from being open 3-4 days per week to providing 24 hour, 7 days a week wrap around care for four of our 6 available cots.
However we still have two remaining cots to open and with your help we can offer our care to even more families. To do this 1.3 million needs to be raised in 2017. Receiving less than 15% of funding from the government we have a HUGE task ahead.
There are many ways you can help us; from a regular donation, joining us at one of our events or testing yourself with a cycle challenge, mud run, trek or even a skydive. We don’t care WHAT you do, we just care that you DO SOMETHING.
Help change a life in 2017 and visit Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice
Together we WILL make a difference.
We wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and thank you for your support in 2016.
