Zoë’s Place Coventry – Officially “GOOD”
Published date: 02 November 2016
A MASSIVE “CONGRATULATIONS” to all of our care team who achieved a “GOOD” rating from our recent CQC Inspection. This is a wonderful testament to all of the hard work and effort that our Head of Care, nurses and care assistants put into their role. Every inspection area required for the report was rated as “GOOD” showing a consistent approach in every area of the care we provide.
Some stand out comments in the report are:
“The registered manager and deputy manager showed they were constantly striving to make continual improvements. One of the examples provided was the extension of the opening hours of the hospice so children with life-limiting and life threatening conditions and their families’ end of life care preferences could be met if they wanted hospice care.”
“Children’s healthcare needs were met by staff who worked in partnership with parents and involved external healthcare professionals when required.”
“Staff were committed in providing the best care to each child during their life and at the end of their life which supported each child’s individuality.”
“Quality and monitoring checks together with the views of others were used to reflect continuous improvement and development of palliative and end of life care offered to children and families.”
We are so proud of our care team who have shown examples of effective collaboration between parents and external health care professionals with a focus on continually improving our service.

It’s a frustrating fact that providing a high quality service and striving to make continuous improvements does not come cheap. Therefore we cannot forget to send a HUGE thankyou to all of our AMAZING supporters without whom we could not provide our incredible service. We have progressed over the last 5 years from being open part time to now offering a full 24/7 wrap around care service. However we cannot rest on our laurels as it is essential for us to open the last two cots at the hospice. We are receiving an ever increasing amount of referrals from children and families who need our care and with your help and continued support we can achieve our goal.
Please contact the FUNDRAISING TEAM to find out all the exciting ways you can help us make a difference.
