Clinical Administrator 

(£17,500 - £19,000)

We are Looking to recruit an experienced Clinical Administrator who is friendly, enthusiastic, self motivated and works well as part of a team. The role is to provide administrative support to the nurse led clinical team and Head of Care within a Children's Hospice. Candidates will need to have the initiative and take responsibility for decision making to support the effective and efficient delivery of short break service to children and families.

Main duties:

As the Clinical Administrator you will be part of the nursing team possessing excellent communication skills by phone, face to face and via electronic means. The post holder needs to be organised, flexible, positive and proactive in supporting the team. The post holder will take on administrative and some secretarial duties to support the team and the Head of Care.

Zoe's Place Baby Hospice, Middlesbrough is a nurse led unit offering short break and end of life service to children and families who live with a life limiting or life threatening disease. We are a friendly team who work closely to meet the needs of the families referred to us. Zoe's Place is unique in the UK as the only baby hospice. We believe every child should be afforded the right to live life to their maximum potential. We always put the child at the centre of any care and support we do. Our current post holder is retiring so we are looking for a candidate to join this special team.

Job description:

To provide a comprehensive range of secretarial and administrative service to the clinical team at Zoe's Place Baby Hospice. The hospice is nurse led, providing a 24 hour short break and end of life support for babies and children up to the age of six with life-limiting and life threatening complex needs. The post holder will provide a full secretarial and administrative service to the Head of care, deputy and the clinical team. The post holder needs to be highly organised, motivated with excellent administrative and interpersonal skills.

Volunteer Vacancies:

We are looking to recruit Collection Box Volunteers, who's role will include swapping all of our Collection Boxes over on a round, in one swoop, every 3 or 4 months. Each round has varying numbers of businesses, but on average are around 15-20. The boxes are then returned to the hospice for counting, banking and thanking.

We are looking for Volunteers who live in, or who are happy to collect in the following areas;

  • Billingham & Wynyard
  • North Ormesby (TS3)
  • Saltburn
  • Northallerton
  • Skippers Lane
  • Middlesbrough Various (TS1- 5, TS8&9)
  • Stockton on Tees (TS18 – 21)
