Who We Help
We currently provide support to around 50 families. All of the babies who attend our hospice must be between the ages of 0-5 years old. We also carry out a Health Care Needs Assessment, in which we adhere to the ACT criteria, developed by Together For Short Lives. This means they must be in one of the following groups;
Those with life threatening condition for which curative treatment may be feasible but may fail.
Those with conditions where premature death is inevitable.
Those with progressive conditions without curative treatment options.
Those with irreversible but non-progressive conditions causing severe diability leading to susceptibility to health complications and likelihood of premature death.
We do not have a catchment area, if you can get to us then we are willing to help. We do have two other hospices, one in Middlesborough and one in Coventry, so if they are closer to you then we would recommend contacting them, however if you are happy to travel to Liverpool to receive care then we are happy to provide it.
