Who we help
We currently provide support to around 40 families. All of the babies who attend our hospice must be between the ages of 0-5 years old (referals must be received before the childs 5th birthday). We also carry out a Health Care Needs Assessment, in which we adhere to the ACT criteria, developed by Together For Short Lives. This means they must be in one of the following groups;
Those with life threatening condition for which curative treatment may be feasible but may fail.
Those with conditions where premature death is inevitable.
Those with progressive conditions without curative treatment options.
Those with irreversible but non-progressive conditions causing severe diability leading to susceptibility to health complications and likelihood of premature death.
We do not have a catchment area, if you can get to us then we are willing to help. We do have two other hospices, one in Middlesborough and one in Liverpool, so if they are closer to you then we would recommend contacting them, however if you are happy to travel to Coventry to receive care then we are happy to provide it.
Referring a child to our hospice could not be easier, all you have to do is fill in the form below and send it to us. Anyone can do it, whether it be a parent, a wider family member or a professional.
We are able to offer support to any child who has a life limiting or life threatening condition, from birth up to the age of 6.
We also offer use of our bereavement suite to anyone who has lost a child, you do not have to be a current user of our hospice. We offer this service for still born babies, as well as children or babies who have passed away (up to the age of 6).
