Matt Meaney – Head of Fundraising

Matt has been working in the charity sector since 2005, and his passion is for helping organisations to develop and be the very best that they can be. He joined Zoe’s Place in February 2020, three weeks before the first lockdown, and four weeks before the birth of his first child! Matt says, “I know everyone says it, but I have the best job in the world! My role is about supporting a talented fundraising and marketing team to connect wonderfully generous people with the incredible work that happens in our hospice! I am surrounded by passionate, highly skilled, wonderful people who are totally committed to supporting babies, infants and their families when they really need us!”
Outside of work, Matt is heavily involved in his local church, and he has a passion for reading, walking and spending time with his wife and two children.

Michelle Wright – Head of Care

Michelle is the Head of Care at the Liverpool Hospice. Michelle started her nursing training in 1995, over the last 25 years of her nursing career, Michelle has worked as a Children’s nurse, and Community Matron in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Michelle joined Zoë’s Place as Head of Care in November 2021. Michelle says the most rewarding part of her job is “
Michelle is a massive Liverpool FC fan and has a tortoise called Nemo and two cats called Ernie and Elsa!

Zoe Garrett – Deputy Head of Care

Zoe has been a nurse for … years, and is the Deputy Head of Care at our hospice in Liverpool. Zoe has worked for Zoe’s Place since October 2011, starting as a nurse then moving onto a team leader and now Deputy. Zoe says, “I love working at Zoe’s Place; the best part of my job is being able to support families who need us at the most vulnerable time of their lives, knowing that we are providing a home from home environment is hugely rewarding.”
