Baby Florence Travels the World
Published date: 10 August 2016
Gary McDonald & Melissa Smith recently used our bereavement suite (named the Snowdrop Suite) here at Zoë's Place after their baby girl, Florence McDonald, was born sleeping on Friday 17th june 2016.
They decided to do a fundraising night in aid of our hospice, to raise awareness and thank the staff for their support through this time, and have so far raised over £17,000. We are extremely grateful to Gary, Melissa & the rest of the family for the amazing effort that they put in to doing this on behalf of the babies and families that we support.
Following this event, they have decided to launch a project in memory of Baby Florence. Gary wanted to take his beautiful daughter around the world with him one day, so now he is encouraging friends and family to take a Zoë's Place Mug with them to different places around the world in her memory.
The idea is that you take a picture of the Mug in different places around the world and send it to Gary & Melissa, for them to display on the Social Media Accounts which they have set up. (Click Below to view) & then leave the mug there, in order to spread the memory of Florence all around the world.
So Far the mugs have travelled to Ibiza, Dubai, Poland, Nigeria & Even to the Emmerdale Woolpack Pub. We have heard rumours that they are on their way to both Australia & New Zealand soon also.
Zoë's Place Mugs cost only £1 and can be bought from our hospice - get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
