ITV to feature Zoë’s Place Coventry!

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Hospice movement and Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice is the final hospice to feature on ITV Centrals coverage of this amazing initiative.  We will appear on on ITV Central News tonight at 6pm so be sure to tune in!

The hospice movement has been an incredible success story - the brainchild of a nurse, Cicely Saunders, who went on to become a medical social worker and a doctor.

She recognised the way hospitals dealt with patients diagnosed with incurable conditions was inadequate, and wanted to find a better and more dignified way to provide end of life care.

Her legacy has provided the blueprint for hospices ever since, and now adults, children and babies are offered the best possible care, without virtually any funding from the government.

Hospices provide a lifeline to patients and their families up and down the country and Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice is no different.  It is so crucial that we hit our fundraising target each year so we are able to provide our special care to the many families that need it.

We are incredibly lucky to have such strong support within our local community and have gone from strength to strength, opening from just 3-4 days per week to now operating 24/7 palliative and end of life care.

Could you make a difference and help us to open our two remaining cots?  We have no shortage of families who need our help and with your support we can make a difference.

Why not take a look at some of our amazing challenges and social events we have planned for 2017 and join Team Zoë’s.  Alternatively you can host your own fundraising event or take on an epic adventure in support of Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice.  We don’t care WHAT you do, only that you DO something.
