Maghull High School

At the beginning of 2011 a social enterprise charity challenge was launched for the current year 11 cohort.  One student, Joe Westhead decided that he would organise a Performing Arts Variety show to raise money for Zoë's place.  He and a group of friends single handedly organised a group of performers to take part in the show, whilst marketing the event throughout the school.  On the day of the show, only fifty tickets that had been sold, but deciding that the show must go on, Joe and his friends worked to ensure the event was a massive, sell out success with all 240 of the theatre seats sold.  The event was a great night enjoyed by all, raising a truly fantastic £900 for Zoë's Place!!!!

Light up a Life for Schools

LUAL_xmas_poster_1

Light up a Life is a way in which pupils can remember a loved one at Christmas by writing their name on a Light up a Life card which is then hung on a Christmas tree for a small donation of £1. This is a wonderful way for pupils to understand the importance of thinking of others at Christmas and make a valuable contribution towards supporting our work within the Hospice.

We would supply your school with a tree and Zoë's Place Light up a Life cards as well as publicity posters for the appeal. For more information please contact Anne-Marie Washington on 0151 228 0353 or by email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
